Coinfessions is project aimed at sharing untold stories from the crypto community as a means to improve transparency and accountability among participants.
Both the X and the rectangle provide visual references to silence/secrecy through a mouth that is stitched or taped shut. In combination with text, the rectangles nod to label tape often used on classified documents.
Optimised for legibility, popular sans serif font Inter was an easy choice. A clean, modern font it gives the sense of being 'undesigned' that keeps reader focus on the confessions themselves.
Inspired by nature, a lurid, laser yellow was selected for connotations of danger, warning, cowardice and deception. Yellow was placed on a minimal pure-black background to offer a brightness balance as well as maximise contrast.
